VW suffered severely from insomnia brought on by constant intense flashbacks of several combat experiences. It had been many years since he
had been able to sleep for any extended period of time. The ensuing fatigue was exacerbated by pain and depression. After one treatment the
family reported that he had slept through the night! Flashbacks were still occurring but he said they were not so intense. He described the
difference as being like watching them at a distance, so he did not have to relive the experience. Not only was he more relaxed, he felt like
being active and had begun working in his workshop. Over the 6-week course of those treatments needed less treatment with a stimulation unit for
back pain (TENS). Scores on a questionnaire for pain were lower even though he was not using the TENS unit as much. Energy, memory and cognitive
clarity scores were significantly better. He was functioning at a much better level. Because of unavoidable circumstances he had only 10 treatments in all.
